Job Description
Position SummaryAs part of Straumann Group’s Global Ops Transformation team, the Global Lean Transformation Project Manager will lead the deployment of the Lean transformation roadmap worldwide, in collaboration with network heads and manufacturing sites. Managing transformation agents and local lean coordinators, the Project Manager will work in close collaboration with site leadership teams to drive impactful, maturity driven and sustainable performance improvements, aligned with the Group’s strategic objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLean Transformation Deployment
- Lead deployment waves, following a structure transformation methodology.
- Scope the need (local burning platform), ensure full alignment with company’s objective.
- Run diagnostic, analyze performance gaps and operational data to identify priority improvement areas and levers.
- Ensure an aligned vision is agreed with local leadership and define performance as well as maturity improvements objectives. Challenge the local team to reach ambitious targets.
- Lead the deployment of the improvement levers (productivity, lead times, inventory levels, quality, and cost efficiency) and facilitate the implementation of Minimal Lean Requirements (maturity), like promoting a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving at all levels of the organization.
Project & Change Management
- Ensure local project management (plan, manage, and execute with clear objectives, milestones, and performance indicators)
- Support local site leadership in change management and people engagement throughout the transformation journey.
- Ensure sustainability of implemented initiatives through coaching, audits, and process ownership handover to local teams.
Profile & QualificationsEducation:
- Engineer or Master’s degree, in technical areas.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt or equivalent) is a must.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, or supply chain in a multi-site or global context.
- Proven track record of leading Lean transformation initiatives across plants or business units.
- Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, pharma, or high-precision manufacturing) is a strong advantage.
- Previous exposure to global transformation programs and multicultural environments is a strong advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of Lean philosophy, tools, and systems.
- Strong project management capabilities, able to drive complex initiatives independently.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills across hierarchical levels and cultures.
- Data-driven and results-oriented, with a pragmatic and hands-on mindset.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (German,French, Spanish, etc.) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally (between 75% – 100%).
