You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the Life Medtronic is hiring a Senior Marketing Manager responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of the CDS marketing plan across Western Europe, in collaboration with product managers and market development managers. In the role, you report directly to the Business Director, Western Europe, and are part of the extended global commercial marketing teamOur ambition is to drive a new era of personalized medicine by empowering care providers and patients with actionable insights to conquer chronic diseases. The business has evolved from diagnostics to monitoring and will expand to disease management. Currently we address the needs of unexplained syncope patients, cryptogenic stroke patients and atrial fibrillation management.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Define and promote the value proposition for the CDS portfolio, including LINQ, LINQ II with AI, and additional services, ensuring a strong co-positioning strategy across Western Europe, oversee impactful campaigns, particularly around the AI-driven LINQ and LINQ II launches, driving alignment between marketing, product management, and sales teams, collaborate with the global marketing team to ensure Western European needs are prioritized and represented within the broader global marketing agenda.
- Manage the LINQ Ecosystem portfolio to promote its unique value and also drive strategy and competitive positioning, drive and Educate the WE CRM teams to grow the portfolio
- Work closely with medical affairs, clinical, and market development teams to drive customer engagement and remove barriers to market growth, especially in key areas like syncope, stroke, and AF management, lead the training and education strategy with a focus on onboarding programs and continuous customer engagement, ensuring that the Western Europe market is well-equipped to promote and use CDS solutions.
- Shape and lead the digital marketing strategy, working with the costumer marketing manager and integrated marketing specialist and digital centre of excellence to drive a cohesive and impactful digital presence, while also building and connecting an ecosystem strategy that links product initiatives with market development goals. This includes engaging stakeholders through society education, KOL (Key Opinion Leader) development, and awareness programs.
- Collaborate with multiple sales teams (CDS, CRM, SAM) to set quarterly objectives, define messaging, and track performance to ensure market growth and retention. Work closely with channel marketing to maintain alignment between sales and marketing.
- Provide input on the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to ensure supply chain continuity for key products and solutions.
- Lead the training and education strategy with a focus on onboarding programs and continuous customer engagement, ensuring that the Western Europe market is well-equipped to promote and use CDS solutions. Develop and articulate pricing strategies, ensuring proper execution in the local markets. Gather customer feedback to inform future portfolio developments.
Required knowledge and experience
- Master’s degree with proven experience in marketing leadership within the medical device or healthcare industry, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and a strong understanding, based on evident expertise, of the Western European market landscape, particularly in cardiology and cardiac rhythm management (CRM).
- Experience in product launches and developing value propositions for innovative healthcare technologies, particularly in AI-driven solutions.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills aimed at influencing within a complex matrix organization
- Ability to manage large, diverse teams and drive alignment across multiple countries and functions with empathy and efficiency
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving long-term marketing plans while executing near-term tactical campaigns.
- Experience with digital marketing, channel strategy, and sales team collaboration.
