Moreover, business and other key private entities are increasingly becoming critical partners in addressing key child rights violations and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) more broadly.Over the past decade, over twenty UNICEF country offices have established structured private sector fundraising (PSFR) operations as part of their country office model, allowing them to generate significant funding not only for their own country programme, but also for the rest of the organization, including donor orphan countries in their own regions.In this context, in 2021 UNICEF established a financial instrument in partnership with the World Bank to raise additional financing for investment in private sector fundraising as a pilot project limited to an amount of $50 million. To meet its obligations with the World Bank, UNICEF needs to produce annual narrative report on the impact on children’s lives that this investment has indirectly contributed to by enabling to raise more funds from the private sector.How can you make a difference?Scope of Work:The UNICEF Country Office Development and Support (CODAS) section within the Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP), is seeking a Private Fundraising and Partnerships Support Consultant to produce the 2024 narrative impact report on the World Bank Funding instrument building on annual results from relevant UNICEF country offices, in close consultation with UNICEF PFP Division, regional and country offices.The Consultant will prepare a detailed workplan with clear definition of milestones and deadlines for each activity.The workplan will be approved by the supervisor in CODAS.Work Assignment Overview:Impact reporting on the World Bank instrument.Deliverable:2024 impact report based on existing data and evidence sources from UNICEF country offices in consultation with PFP Division, regional and country offices, by 1 July 2025.To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…Education:
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in Business Administration, Marketing or Economics, or a relevant field is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years progressive experience in project management and/or policy and oversight of private sector fundraising is required.
- Experience in report writing for private sector audience is required.
- Understanding of UN system and UNICEF’s mandate is an asset.
Language:
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN language or a local language is an asset.
Other Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience and demonstrable skills in impact report writing.
- Ability to synthesize and analyze complex information.
