You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the LifeWe’re seeking an experienced Enterprise Accounts Leader (EA) to spearhead strategic planning and execution for our key customer (strategic) accounts in Switzerland, with focus accounts in Bern and Zurich, managing the Pan Medtronic Portfolio for two strategic enterprise accounts/groups in University Hospital Zurich and Hirslanden Group securing sustainable contracts for profitable revenue and share growth in the private and public sector. You’ll focus on value co-creation with customer and businesses, crafting and implementing strategic plans, driving significant customer value and accelerating growth for Medtronic. You will pursue new business opportunities and execute the pan-Medtronic portfolio customer value proposition with senior level & C-Suite & Executive partners to drive mutual benefit. By forging long-term partnerships at the Senior- and C-Suite level and with national Groups, the Strategic Sales team creates opportunities for access to Medtronic technologies and drives product penetration.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:You will focus on Strategic Account Planning by developing and executing integrated, multi-year account strategies that focus on long-term value co-creation for both the enterprise and the customer:
- To ensure consistency and alignment you will conduct business reviews, identify new opportunities and coordinate across internal Operating Units (OUs) to align on pan-company strategies.
- Acting as strategic partner, guiding the organisation to continue the transition from product sales to an outcome-oriented and customer-centric solution selling approach, such as optimizing patient outcomes and improving cost-efficiency in healthcare.
- In all aspects of your work, you ensure to create differentiated value propositions that are aligned with the customer’s future goals.
- You will succeed by leading collaboration across various departments (e.g. OUs, IHS, legal, finance etc) and leverage insights and assets from said collaborative departments and units to create mutual value and smooth solution delivery, while owning the account strategy to ensure alignment of all key functions throughout the sales and post-sales process.
- The guiding principle is focussing on building long-term, transformational partnerships with your strategic customers involving multi-year strategic planning and continuous value creation.
- For this you will establish and nurture C-suite relationships and expansion thereof (e.g., C-Suite, health authorities, COOS, CMOS and CIOS).
- You will be able to deliver on your targets by leading a team of strong and experienced Strategic Account Managers by ensuring further development, coaching, talent management, recruiting and succession planning.
- By establishing local operating mechanisms and interface with all MDT businesses and functions, you will ensure pan-Medtronic alignment and the delivery of strong account level plans benefitting both the customers and the Operating Units.
Must Have Experience & Key Capabilities
- Master’s degree in business, medicine, or a related field preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant sales experience (8+ years with an advanced degree).
- Senior-level business management experience in complex solution selling and consultative sales; technology for the healthcare sector is considered a plus.
- Strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscape and regulatory factors in Medical Device, Healthcare or Pharma within a multinational matrixed environment.
- Consulting background with strategic thinking and analytical skills to navigate complex business environments.
- Proven ability to build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including C-Suite executives.
- Has shown adaptability and experience in organizational change by influential leadership.
- Experience in value co-creation, driving growth and enhancing customer experience by leveraging internal capabilities.
- Successful management of large, complex projects demonstrating commercial acumen.
- Fluency in English and German required.
- Travel requirement: Min 40% within Switzerland, additional travel within Europe as needed.
