Our 114,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.Abbott Established Pharmaceutical Division (EPD) is looking for anFinancial Analystfor its global Pharma Division Headquarter based in Allschwil- Basel.Primary Job Function:An interesting role in which you will be primarily accountable for operating EPD’s divisional planning system (SAP Analytical cloud) along with executing on annual activities related to budget transfers and Master Data Management (Product and Geographic Hierarchy). He/she is in contact with the EPD country and area Finance counterparts as well as with other functional stakeholders in the Division ensuring clear and transparent communication and qualitative forecast data loads into EPD planning system.Core Job Responsibilities:Prepare and Maintain EPD planning systems by ensuring data integrity, creating ad-hoc templates, solving daily tickets, and escalating to technical support whenever appropriate.Conduct necessary checks and coordinate with relevant business units to ensure high-quality forecast data is accurately and timely loaded into the system.Perform month end activities such as journal entries, account reconciliations and support month end close activities.Coordinate annual budget transfers activities.Orchestrate Global Product and Geographic hierarchy planning for future year.Identify and drive process improvements, including creation and continuous improvement of standard reports and dashboards and drive key projects at divisional level.Position Accountability/Scope:The EPD HQ Financial Analyst is accountable for the quality and timeliness of financial reports of this scope of responsibility. He is technology savvy and acts as the divisional single-point of contact and subject matter expert for EPD planning system SAC.Cultivates a wide range of internal networks and begins to develop an external network of resources to facilitate completion of tasks and proactively identifying potential discrepancies.Receives limited supervision on standard issues, and detailed instructions on new assignments.May demonstrate basic project management skills by acting as a project lead on small, well-defined projects or by giving extended support on larger projects.Minimum Education:Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalentMaster’s degree (or comparable degree) would be preferredMinimum Experience/Training Required:Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, general accounting and or financial reportingExperience working with SAC Planning tool (or equivalent) is requiredExperience in the Pharmaceutical industry would be an assetExperience in coordinating multiple relationship at the international level would be an assetBasic Programming skillsCompetencies/Attributes:Solid technical acumen.
