From pre-conception to adulthood, we are widening our reach and opening up new opportunities across the lifelong nutrition journey.As an Associate R&D Designer, you will convert consumer insights into attractive packaging and design solutions. You will work on Accelerator projects, providing design support throughout all phases, from early idea sketching to final MVP artwork. In addition to graphic design, you will also be involved in prototyping, social media ad and content creation, as well as videos, to enhance the consumer experience in the innovation process.A Day in the Life of an Associate R&D Designer
- Own and manage design support for Accelerator projects, including sketching, A/B testing, and continuous improvement based on consumer feedback.
- Apply a consumer-centric design approach to transform problem statements into engaging design solutions.
- Conduct innovation and concept building sessions.
- Visualize concepts, 2D/3D assets, and digital interfaces, presenting design concepts to internal clients and senior stakeholders.
- Create mock-ups, prototypes, and support video creation.
- Stay up to date with design trends and generate competitive insights on product and packaging design.
- Coordinate design sprints and ideation workshops, facilitating discussions and understanding project needs.
- Promote Lean Startup and Design Thinking culture, contribute to R&D design knowledge, and participate in the Nestlé R&D design community.
What will make you successful
- Master’s degree in design (5 years or higher), with a double design specialty recommended.
- First successful experience in an R&D design position (food industry recommended).
- Knowledge of overall R&D process and environment.
- Proficiency in RD design tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with lean startup methodology and design thinking.
- Ability to organize and facilitate ideation sessions.
- Successful execution of design activities in cross-functional projects.
- Understanding of FMCG industry.
- Active participation in formal networking activities.
- Experience in design agency or start-up.
- Knowledge of Nestlé business, categories, and organization (recommended).
