Job Description
Main Purpose:Support the Global Head of Compliance in building, managing, and implementing a robust compliance program that meets regulatory requirements and promotes the right ethical culture.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities:Program improvement:
- Support in assessing the effectiveness of the compliance program.
- Support in developing and implementing measures to improve the effectiveness of the compliance program, including benchmarking the program against other organizations.
- Leading the implementation of various change projects to ensure that the compliance program at Puma Energy remains aligned with leading industry standard.
Anti Bribery Management System:
- Overseeing the design and implementation of the ABMS. Providing advice and guidance on the ABMS Ensuring that the ABMS conforms to the requirements of the ISO 37001 Standards.
- Collaborating with other functions such as Procurements, Human Resources, and Internal Audit regarding the ABMS. Reporting on the performance of the ABMS.
- Monitoring and auditing the effectiveness of the ABMS.
- Developing and deploying both computer-based and instructor-led training; and Reviewing and revising the ABMS for continuous improvement.
Training Management:
- Design and maintain an organizational training plan, ensuring continuous improvement to address risk areas.
- Determine training audience (employees, third parties and Board), based on identified risk and ensure that training materials are appropriate in addressing the risk.
- Oversee the development and implementation of trainings, managing the relationships with training providers.
Control Monitoring and improvements:
- Oversee the monitoring and auditing of key components and risks of the compliance program, including partnering with Internal Audit to conduct regular and risk-based audits, establishing appropriate metrics, and reporting results.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to develop corrective action plans and track progress to ensure timely implementation of remediation plans and ensure post implementation validation testing.
Projects:
- Work closely with Trafigura Compliance Team, ensuring seamless flow of updates, reports, and any other request from Trafigura that may be required as part of its oversight obligations with the US Department of Justice.
- Lead projects as required.
Requirements:Mandatory Education:
- Degree in Law or Finance.
- Compliance qualification such as CCEP, CCEP-I or equivalent is a plus.
Experience:
- 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- International experience
- Producing reports for and/or delivering briefings to agencies exercising regulatory oversight.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge and experience of Compliance in the energy sector very desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of the FCPA, UKBA
- Knowledge of implementing data privacy programs will be an added advantage
Skills:
- Strong personal and professional ethics and integrity.
- Ability to understand and communicate the business as well as the legal case for compliance within Puma Energy.
- Extensive experience of all aspects of a corporate compliance program including anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering.
- Ability to influence and facilitate difficult conversations, as well as proven facilitation, communication and training skills.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
