DESCRIPTIONAs a Senior Sales Manager for the Alps region (Switzerland and Austria), you will build and lead a high-performing and diverse team of Account Managers. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the adoption and usage of AWS services across industries, collaborating with partners to accelerate customer success.The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in both sales and people management, coupled with a solid technical understanding. Additionally, you have experience working with key anchor customers in the past and the ability to engage effectively with CxO-level executives and Business Unit leaders, understanding their industry-specific challenges and speaking their language.Key job responsibilities
– Manage the career growth and development of your team, coaching and guiding them to achieve world-class performance levels.
– Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including Solution Architecture, Partner Success and Development, Business Development, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Product Teams.
– Lead and influence global, cross-functional teams in a dynamic organization, as many of your responsibilities will have interdependencies with other teams within AWS.
– Leverage your strong sales and analytical acumen, synthesis, structuring, and problem-solving skills to translate ambiguous and often incomplete information into actionable plans and insights.
– Incubate industry verticals by fostering a community of customers, driving growth and innovation within specific sectors.
– Demonstrate a strong bias for ‹invention› and ’simplification›, proven experience in cross-functional stakeholder management and alignment, solid program management skills, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, and a strong data and metrics-driven mindset.
– Showcase your passion for narrative-style writing, crafting compelling business plans and programmatic initiatives.

- Experience in sales management or equivalent
- Experience in technology related sales, or new business experience in the tech industry
- Experience working with complex IT solutions
- Experience managing and leading successful sales teams
- Experience working with partners to drive scaling campaigns
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Cloud and related technologies and landscape (e.g. ISVs, etc.)
- Business, Engineering, or equivalent education (e.g. MBA)
- German and/or French Speaker
