Microsoft’s Commercial Solution Area (CSA) sets the sales strategy, leads technical sales, and operations as a hub for the Commercial Solution Areas and Support Services that power the Microsoft Cloud. We work closely with other Microsoft teams and partners, especially Customer Success, Marketing, and the STU, to ensure those solutions meet our customers’ needs.As an Azure SAP Specialist, you will be a senior solution sales leader with deep technical and business expertise within our enterprise sales organization working with our most important customers. You will lead a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help customers realize digital transformation through architecting, moving, and/or extending customers› SAP Workloads on Azure. A core competency of the role is to advance the sales process to achieve/exceed quarterly SAP solution sales and usage/consumption targets for related workloads in your assigned accounts. You possess a high EQ with executive presence, able to engage with senior decision makers to uncover digital transformation initiatives, you have a passion for learning how Azure cloud services can enhance SAP workloads to deliver true digital transformation. You will develop and maintain an SAP on Azure Infrastructure, RISE with SAP on Azure, and application migration expertise, able to identify projects, build a compelling business case, and drive the consumption project to production. You will build and maintain relationships with customers, influence long-term strategic direction and act as a trusted advisor driving engagement at the CXO level with business and technology decision makers. You will help customers evaluate their cloud strategy, determine approaches to application and data migration and modernization, and recommend solutions that meet their requirements. - You will lead business level dialogue with customers around the SAP workloads, including Business transformation for enterprise computing and digital transformation, creating “buy-in” vision with key CxO decision makers by building executive relationships to generate excitement around Microsoft solutions’ value to influence long-term strategic direction around SAP workloads
- Engage and jointly sell with SAP counterparts, Partners and Priority ISVs to maximize business results by bringing together Microsoft and Partner solutions to deliver against customer business outcomes leveraging assets across Microsoft, SAP Architects, Product Teams and Engineering. You will brief Microsoft Executives around complex sales opportunities, including competitive strategies and close plans to engage customers with joint value positioning
- You will influence the Microsoft Azure SAP GTM strategies by providing feedback to the leadership team, marketing, and engineering on current and future product requirements and sales blockers. You will be recognized for sharing, learning and driving work that results in business impact for customers, partners and Microsoft. - You will lead multi-million-dollar deals, requiring orchestration of virtual teams composed of industry, solution, technical, licensing & legal team members as well as SI and ISV partners.
- Drive Sales Excellence: Exceed sales / cloud consumption quota by driving pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field and some years of technology-related sales or account management experience
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Deep expertise on SAP Netweaver platform
- Account Management. Several years of services sales or account management experience and leading sales teams: planning, opportunity qualification and creation, stakeholder and executive communication, needs analysis, services/partner engagement, opportunity management and proposal response, pipeline management, large dollar licensing and deal negotiation
- Executive Presence. Numerous years of experience and expertise selling to C-Suite and executive business decision makers by aligning & reinforcing the value of SAP on Azure to the customer’s overall business pain and/or strategic opportunities and decision criteria.
- Problem Solver. Ability to identify customer’s problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions through cloud technologies. Orchestrate and influence virtual teams to pursue sales opportunities and lead v-teams through influence. Leads the sales orchestration with internal stakeholders and partners (e.g., Enterprise Operating Unit); applies a holistic approach to build network across territories; positions opportunities to promote collaboration and participation.
- Azure Platform. Understanding of Microsoft server products and/or complementing solutions. The position requires the ability to articulate and present the business value of Microsoft’s solutions and have a firm understanding of Microsoft’s strategies and products relative to major Microsoft competitors
- SAP: Ability to deliver quick POC/landscape sizing and demos using SAP Netweaver platform. Presales SAP ERP Systems to large Enterprise customers. Installation of SAP systems based on SAP NetWeaver for all supported database and operating system combinations. Installation, integration and configuration of SAP HANA, S/4 HANA, SAP Business Suite and SAP BW
- Competitive Landscape. Knowledge of enterprise software solutions and cloud and datacenter infrastructure competitor landscape
- Experience leading large cloud engagements, especially those involving Infrastructure modernization and migration
- Deep Partner engagement and Management skills with SAP focused Practices.
- Communication: Executive level speaking and presentation skills, and very strong written and oral communication skills in German and English
- Exceptional and demonstrated decision-making, conflict resolution, problem solving and negotiation skills
