Our 114,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.Abbott Established Pharmaceutical Division (EPD) is looking for aSenior Commercial Managerfor its global Pharma Division Headquarter based in Allschwil- Basel.Primary Job Function:The role supports the structuring, designing, diagnosing and roll out end-to-end topline and margin improvement initiatives across all functions in a given marketSupport launch of new molecules in new biosimilar franchise, from defining processes, liaising with other departments and executing on EM-wide initiativesCore Job Responsibilities:The role will lead the EM BU internal and external cross-functional teams (comprising of internal or external resources) to assess optimal process and organizational design, and make recommendations around the structure, operating set-up and ultimate end-state, for both current and future biosimilars businessIn addition, the team will lead capability building throughout the organization, in areas such as 1) change management, 2) problem solving, 3) critical thinking, 4) storytellingResponsibilities include projects to:Unlock topline growth and carry shared goals together with the GMs of the affiliatesSupport efficiency improvement to increase margin and reinvest in strategic projects for EM BUBuild capability, enhance skills and drive culture of continuous improvementSupport affiliate transformations within commercial team covering a broad scope of strategic and operational activitiesManage launch execution process for biosimilars within EM, together with regions, affiliates and global teamsIdentify BU leadership team members on changes arising out of key project recommendations, with sound logic and supporting insightsAssess what the BU needs to do differently, what capabilities this will require and how this compares with BU organizational capabilities todayAssess and challenge all departmental processes with an eye towards innovation and operational excellenceMinimum Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.Advanced degree – Master’s or MBA desired.Minimum Experience/Training Required:Prior experience in driving strategic projects and cross-functional teams is a mustPrior experience in emerging markets is a mustExperience launching pharmaceutical products, especially biologics, is highly preferableStrong track record in working directly with C-suite level preferableExperience leading complex change and transformation initiativesOperational experience in affiliate-level organization highly regardedExposure to various parts of the organization in a variety of roles preferableStrong communication skills requiredComfortable with complexity and uncertainty requiredDo you like the sound of this job and think you’ve got what it takes?
