If you’re enthusiastic about pushing engineering boundaries and eager to see your work make a lasting mark, we can’t wait to welcome you aboard!How you’ll make an impactDevelop and optimize structural designs: Use advanced Finite Element Modelling (FEM) techniques to create, evaluate, and enhance structural designs in accordance with industry standards and various national codesStructural integrity of steel connections: Analyze and improve steel connections to ensure robust structural performance under diverse conditionsCross-functional collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all designs meet the stringent requirements of each projectDrive innovation in Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) development: Participate in the design, testing, and enhancement of GIS support systems along with R&D, to improve performance and reliabilitySeismic and dynamic analysis: Perform comprehensive seismic calculations and assessments to ensure structures meet resilience standards for safety and reliabilityMentorship and technical support: Guide and support junior engineers across various locations, enhancing resource efficiency and project deliveryOn-site coordination: Liaise with on-site teams to ensure the accurate implementation of designs and resolve technical challengesAutomation and efficiency: Leverage automation tools and software to streamline design and analysis processes, improving both accuracy and productivityYour BackgroundMaster’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related fieldSolid experience in Finite Element Modelling (FEM) and structural analysisIn-depth knowledge of various codes and national standards for calculations and design complianceExpertise in the design and analysis of steel connectionsProficiency in seismic, dynamic, and fatigue analysisExperience with GIS structural calculations is highly valuableExperience with automation tools and programming skills (advantageous)Fluent in English, with additional proficiency in German or other languages as a plusOn-site experience in structural engineering projects is beneficialStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detailExcellent communication, teamwork, and leadership capabilitiesAbout UsHitachi Energy offers you interesting tasks in a highly motivated team and an open communication style.
