In this role based in Zurich, you will be part of the Quantitative and Actuarial Projects team in Group Risk Management. This is an exciting opportunity for new or recent graduates to join Zurich, a leading international insurance group. As a Quantitative Risk Modeller, you will take part in the development and validation of models and their results, which are used across the Group. Models in scope include risk models used for Swiss Solvency Test (SST) and Solvency II (SII), pricing or underwriting, as well as other models with a high impact on financial statements or which play a key part in business decisions.What you will doAs a Quantitative Risk Modeller, you will work on a variety of projects with different stakeholders over time, including those in Risk and Actuarial departments. Your main responsibilities will involve:Supporting the modelling teams in developing, maintaining and documenting risk and other high impact modelsSupporting the modelling teams in producing, analyzing and reporting model resultsSupporting projects of strategic importanceSupporting the validation teams in implementing validation tools, executing validation tests and producing reportsPrimary work location is ZurichWhat you bringAs a Quantitative Risk Modeller your skills and qualifications include:Master degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance or other related fields or PhDNew graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience in the (re)insurance industry, at a consulting firm or a financial institutionExperience in risk and capital modelling would be an advantagePursuing or planning to pursue an actuarial qualification (per local society) would be an advantageStrong statistical, data modelling and programming skills (R and/or Python)Strong analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong communication and relationship building capabilitiesFluent written and spoken English is a mustAdditional InformationWe look forward to receiving your online application.At our our culture and our people are what set us apart.
