As an employer, UNIL encourages excellence, individual recognition and responsibility.PresentationThe Department of Actuarial Science of the Faculty of Business and Economics is looking for a Graduate Assistant.Job informationStart date: September 1, 2025 (or at a later mutually agreed date)Contract duration: 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years.Activity rate : 80%Salary: Gross salary starting at CHF 54’054/per yearPlace of work: Lausanne Dorigny, Extranef building.Supervisor: Prof. Peter HieberYour responsibilitiesIn your activities, you will have to :
- 50% of your time will be dedicated to completion of doctoral studies in actuarial science.
- 50% of the assistant’s time will be dedicated to teaching, administrative (including exam surpervision), technical and research support for the department.
Your qualificationsIn order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills :
- Master of Science (MSc) in Actuarial Science, (Actuarial) Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
- Desire to deepen the knowledge in actuarial science with the aim to obtain a doctoral degree.
- Fluent in English. Basic understanding of French is not necessary but a plus.
- Ability to work in a team and good communication skills.
