Org is looking for a Senior Web/Mobile Developer with a strong software development background, to lead the development of the CLIP mobile app. The contractor will operate under the business guidance of WFC and with technical supervision from the WFC Tech Lead and our Solutions Design and Delivery Section (SDDS). The work will follow the SCRUM methodology, employing an incremental and iterative approach with continuous engagement of business and technical stakeholders.CLIP (goclip.org // Creators Learn Intellectual Property) is a rights awareness platform. It was launched in November 2023 with the objective to empower creators around the world with a better understanding of how their creative industry works and what their rights and responsibilities are as creators.CLIP content is designed to present complicated topics in accessible, everyday language, “from creators, for creators”. In order to ensure that creators are equipped with the knowledge they need to make well-informed decisions throughout their careers, it is of critical importance that the information presented must be relevant, factually and legally correct, understandable for a non-legal audience, objective and balanced.Priorities include:
- Develop a new mobile application for CLIP utilizing Ionic Framework & Capacitor based on signed-off designs.
- Testing on both iOS and Android.
- Building and optimizing a new Algolia index
For each assigned task, detailed business requirements and operational needs will be provided through the internal JIRA system.
The senior developer will collaborate closely with supervisors from SDD and WFC to:
- Engage with technical and business stakeholders as needed to ensure alignment and progress on development work.
- Collaborate efficiently with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow for both operational and development activities.
- Provide complete technical documentation for each task.
- Deliver user documentation and operational guides when required.
- Follow SDD and our development practices, including JIRA for tracking, CI/CD pipelines, and alignment with our Cloud Management Unit (CMU) procedures for both operational and development activities.
- Ensure compliance with our technical standards, security requirements, and procedures, including in routine operations.
The contractor is expected to deliver:
- Production-ready code, cleared by SDD, Information Security, and WfC as needed.
- Comprehensive documentation for all completed work, including release notes, test results, operational activities, and release plans.
- Knowledge transfer and training to ensure seamless transition to operations, covering both operational and new development aspects.
