Job Description:For our client, a private bank based in Geneva, we are seeking a Learning & Development Manager to join their team.MissionIn cooperation with Business Heads and respective HRBPs, identify functional, regulatory, development & management training needs to design and coordinate training programmes, with a special focus on the Wealth Management division.Responsibilities
- Design and develop training programs in line with the business objectives, getting the right training format and materials developed either in-house or with the use of external subject matter experts. Assess the right internal or external trainers, who can deliver the training effectively.
- Keep up with industry regulatory changes (LSFin, Investor protection rules, compliance requirements etc) as well as business transformations and new initiatives (New banking portal, new pricing tool, pipeline and prospect management tool etc).
- Implement and deliver training programmes: scheduling the training sessions, booking trainers, registering and monitoring participations for all type of trainings (i.e. classroom training, e-learning, on-the-job training, coaching etc). This also includes working on the budgeting and approval of the identified training solution. Build a competency framework for each position in the organization and create a career path to providing career development opportunities to employees to help them grow and advance their careers within the organization. Support alternative training measures such as job shadowing, one on one coaching, mentoring, and other development opportunities.
- Evaluate training programmes effectiveness: ensure they meet business needs and identify improvement areas. Conduct feedback surveys and follow up evaluations to identify additional training needs and analyze return on investment.
- Supporting high-potential employees with targeted training and development programmes to prepare them for future leadership roles within the organization and create a strategic succession plan.
- Adequate seniority to deliver group management trainings for the bank’s managers e.g. Management essentials or trainings focusing on managerial topics.
Profile
- Experience as a Senior Learning & Development Manager in Private Banking industry (7-10 years)
- In depth understanding of Wealth Management business, regulatory framework and industry trends.
- Successful track record of delivering trainings especially also trainings with a more managerial focus
- Strong communication skills and active listener
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Flexible, patient, and versatile
- Experience in working in a multi-location/international environment
- Good knowledge of L&D suppliers and stakeholder management
- Proficient in both oral and written French and English
- Team Player
- Ability to operate independently as well as within a team
