In an increasingly restrictive and complex pricing and reimbursement environment delivering true value for all stakeholders, HTAs, payers and in the end, patients, is a prerequisite to sustain commercial viability for the company and to maximize the opportunities emerging from launch brands, mature brands and an innovative pipeline.This role will lead and work on the development and implementation of global pricing strategies and solutions that maximize brand/pipeline value with a focus on the key global markets, while providing a framework for the world.Key Tasks:

  • Leads all aspects related to the development and implementation of a global P&R strategy and policy along the product lifecycle, or parts of it, supporting brand-related outcomes
  • Collaborates closely with global access lead to ensure consistency with the market access strategy: contributes to development of overall market access strategy, ensures alignment between pricing and HEOR deliverables and RWE/evidence planning, payer communications, and stakeholder engagement plans
  • Leads seamless collaboration and co-creation of pricing and reimbursement deliverables with country and customer teams, incl. support national/sub-national pricing and reimbursement strategy implementation e.g., by innovative contracting options and negotiation strategies
  • Achieves business impact by leading the pricing processes and engaging as well as influencing access lead, product team, and other relevant stakeholder/decision bodies in all pricing related topics for the respective brand
  • Champion value creation, optimization, and maintenance through P&R KPI tracking and GTN analytics across portfolio
  • Leads pricing excellence across pricing related topics and is a role-model for customer relevant innovation and change management within the company
  • Drives world-class pricing capabilities by leveraging insights into global pricing and reimbursement systems, payer trends, and key value drivers, informed by customer insights and market research

WHO YOU ARE

  • Advanced academic degree (preferably an MBA/PhD in economics with specialization in Pricing, Strategic Planning, Marketing or similar)
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Market Access, Pricing and Reimbursement in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with a multinational company, prior contracting/negotiating experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated customer orientation and understanding as well as commercial acumen in prior regional and/or country level roles.
  • Track record of successfully developing effective pricing policies and driving strategy, in launching a pharmaceutical product and representing a company towards external stakeholders, with detailed understanding of Pricing and Reimbursement systems of global key markets; prior local pricing experience in US market is a plus
  • Analytical competencies and strategic thinking to solve complex problems and driving commercial value in uncertain environment
  • Strong leadership skills in a matrix structure, incl. ability to collaborate and partner effectively with multiple, rapidly evolving teams, supporting product team priorities and operating in 90-day cycles
  • Motivational, respected yet strong team player with ability to find and accept compromises while not losing sight of ambitious goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
