Do you have an analytical mind-set, comprehensive business understanding and strong communication skills?Then you might be the right candidate for the position as our Treasury Manager located in Zürich.The positionAs Treasury Manager based in Zürich, you will play a key role in leading and coordinating treasury activities across diverse regions including Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Oceania, and Latin America (Regions EM, APAC, and Japan). You will act as a strategic sparring partner for Novo Nordisk affiliates and senior finance leaders, while providing treasury recommendations to top management. The role requires close collaboration with colleagues in Bagsværd and Istanbul, managing financial risks, securing funding structures, and ensuring compliant banking operations in complex markets.You will closely monitor political, economic, and currency developments impacting the company’s financial standing and contribute to minimizing risk exposure in high-risk countries. This position offers a unique opportunity to expand both functional and leadership competencies within a professional, international, and knowledge-sharing team environment-with occasional travel abroad.Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate treasury operations across Emerging Markets, APAC, and Japan.
- Manage financial risk, funding, and capital structures for affiliates and production sites.
- Ensure compliant and secure banking channels, especially in sanctioned countries.
- Minimize trapped cash exposure in high-risk markets.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with international banking partners.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from an international company or the financial sector
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent stakeholder management skills
- Clear and effective communicator with fluency in written and spoken English
- Ambitious team player with strong collaboration skills, able to work efficiently across functions and regions while managing projects and deadlines independently
About the departmentCorporate Treasury is globally responsible for managing Novo Nordisk’s cash and liquidity making sure that sufficient cash is available for both internal and external investments. To protect the cash as well as the profit from negative impacts, Treasury handles and mitigates financial risks, with a key focus on currency exposure, both on a group level and locally in collaboration with the affiliates across the world. People are Treasury’s core asset and consequently we have a strong focus on people development.You will join the Global Financial Risk team in Corporate Treasury, responsible for managing financial risks in affiliates and maintaining and developing the Group’s global cash management set-up.
