Senior Storage EngineerSenior Storage Engineer (Fluent German)📍 Location: Basel, Switzerland ( 5 days a week on site)📄 Employment Type: Full-time, permanent📠Start Date: ASAP or upon agreementFinders SA is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and globally active private banking institution. We are seeking a Senior Storage Engineer to join a highly skilled infrastructure team responsible for the design, operation, and continuous development of complex enterprise storage systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, respected institution with a strong culture of innovation, collaboration, and sustainability.Your Role

  • Manage enterprise-level storage platforms (SAN, object, archive) across IBM FlashSystem, NetApp, PureStorage, and Cloudian
  • Handle provisioning for block, object, and archive storage consumers (SAN, LAN, iSCSI)
  • Perform regular operations such as release updates, patching, and capacity management
  • Support infrastructure and business projects with storage expertise
  • Evolve storage architecture based on industry trends and product developments
  • Provide second-level operational support and participate in on-call rotations

Your Profile

  • Higher education (University / FH) in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise Storage/SAN management
  • Experience with Linux system administration and/or network engineering
  • Knowledge of VMware is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with major storage platforms and tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across teams
  • Independent, responsible, and proactive working style
  • Fluent in English, with a very good command of German
