The candidate will focus on research topics such as the design, governance, and use of digital platforms and AI for public value, and their impact on society. The position is a part of the newly founded research lab in Information Systems and Digital Innovation, led by Prof. Liudmila Zavolokina.Job informationExpected start date in position : 01.09.2025 / to be agreedContract length : 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 yearsActivity rate : 100%Workplace : UNIL, Campus DorignyYour responsibilitiesIn your activities, you will have to :
- Conduct design-oriented studies in digital platforms and AI for public value
- Design, develop and evaluate innovative prototypes
- Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, run experiments, publish findings of the research in top-tier conferences and journals
- Collaborate with researchers, public organizations, businesses and other institutions
- Support teaching activities (such as running exercises, and supervising theses)
- Support preparation of research proposals to national and international funding agencies
50% of the time will be spent on teaching responsibilities and projects.50% of the time will be dedicated to conducting doctoral researchYour qualificationsIn order to complete our team, we are looking for someone with the following skills :
- willingness to do a research thesis in the field of data analytics
- a master’s degree in information systems, business informatics, computer science and related fields
- strong analytical skills, enthusiasm for research, proactive mindset, reliability and commitment
- good programming skills and experience in the implementation of software (e.g. JAVA, Python) and human-centered design are desirable
- skills in statistical analysis and the motivation to deepen them are desirable
- excellent command of English (both written and spoken); working knowledge of French and/or German are desirable
