Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Azure Cloud Engineer to support a high-impact cloud transformation project for a leading telecommunications and IT services provider in Switzerland. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, innovation-driven environment and contribute directly to the design and implementation of a cloud-native Azure landscape for a major new client in the financial sector.You will join a cross-functional team focused on cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational excellence. If you bring strong experience with Azure, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps tools-and are looking for a project with technical depth and strategic importance-this role is for you.Tasks
- Build and configure a new Azure Cloud environment for an enterprise customer
- Define, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions
- Participate actively in the onboarding of a new client within a cloud migration project
- Take over selected operational tasks within the Azure environment
- Support the execution of Swisscom’s Azure cloud strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile and innovative setting
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science (EFZ/FH/HF) or equivalent hands-on experience
- Microsoft Azure Associate-level certifications
Must-Have Skills
- Experience with cloud-native platforms, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab)
- Strong knowledge of Azure, Terraform, Linux, Bash, and container environments
- Fluent in German (C1) and proficient in English (B1), both spoken and written
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Familiarity with Terragrunt and network technologies (e.g., IP subnetting)
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud)
- Independent and team-oriented mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving
